Taking place in U.C. 0079 around the same time as the storyline of the white base crew. This story focuses on a Gundam squad in Asia as they battle Zeon forces while at the same time telling the love story between two people from different sides. 08^th MS team succeeds in revisiting old designs from the old Mobile Suit Gundam series attempting to give them a more realistic edge and showing new designs that continue to be listed as favorites among Gundam Fans.

This line was not given MSiA representations until shortly before the series debut in the U.S. These figures have usually served as some of the best representations of the MSiA line before there was even a Version 2 RX-78-2 Gundam. Fans have consistantly sought for mechas of this line to be rendered into MSiAs such as the Gouf Custom Flight type and Guntank Mass Production type!
